For the Love of Pippin

Lilli was feeling a little better today, and slept better last night - we were still up from 11:30-12:30 while she was coughing and just couldn't get that tickle out of her throat. She was again super tired after school tonight and went to bed earlier again (7:15 versus 8), and she still wasn't very hungry today. I think all the coughing has just made eating a lot uncomfortable. Hopefully tonight we can get a good night's sleep, I'm starting to forget what that's like!

Brent's taking part in an art auction tonight and tomorrow night benefiting the Nashville flood victims, so he went and helped at it tonight. It's just a couple of blocks from our house, but since she was still so tired and not feeling great we didn't go with him. We'll go out tomorrow night though! Tonight was the preview party, and tomorrow night is the actual auction. Brent's piece had already gotten a bid tonight, woo hoo! (All the money goes to flood victims, so no money to us but it's always nice to sell a piece. His piece in the recent Belcourt show did sell though, so we're excited about that!)
These are from two Sundays ago. She actually wore this dress last summer, and even though it's a 9 month size outfit it's longer so I had left it in her closet for her to possibly wear again this year. It did fit her, but the chest was super tight so she won't be able to wear it again. Bummer!
I love the pictures of her running down the hall. She runs EVERYWHERE! Pretty good stride and pronation, too (which she does not inherit from me)! That's the standard response if you ask her if she wants to go outside (perhaps Pippin taught her that).

She has also picked up on how we pat beside us if we are giving Pippin the ok to jump up and sit next to us on the couch. If she's ever in a chair she does the same thing to try and get him close to her. (She can now climb up in this chair in her room. DANGER!)
She wanted him up there so badly that I bribed him with a treat to sit next to her and endure her "love", which is completely in all the wrong places.
I think she'd pick him any day over us.
So glad tomorrow is Friday! Here's hoping for a good night's sleep x 4!
