Saturday

Here's more pictures from last weekend, from Saturday. It was SO hot here on Saturday!! We headed over to the playground across the street after breakfast but it doesn't have any shade and the slides were SO hot. Hot is one of Lilli's favorite words right now, and she'll say it and wave her hand. She slid once and then started walking back towards home. Guess she told us! We played for a little while in the front yard where it's a lot shadier.
Her little face was so bright red and she was super sweaty!Playing in the dirt in my flowerpots is one of her favorite things. She makes a major mess! But yet she's so "frilly" and wants her hand wiped after each scoop of the dirt.
Dirt and beads!
When she has her snacks she likes to sit in her little chair, and wants me to sit next to her. I look enormous compared to her!
We saw this little umbrella at Walmart a few weeks ago and she just loved it. She has so much fun running around the house with it open.
Tonight a little cold front moved through while we were eating dinner and really cooled it down, so we walked over to the playground after we ate. Much better than last weekend!! She's doing so great on all the playground equipment and can completely go up the stairs and down the slides on her own now. She also knows how to walk home (where we get into the playground, where we go down the stairs, where we cross the street, etc) which is just hilarious.

We're also getting more organized this week! I cleaned out the freezer last weekend, which was WAY overdue. There was stuff in there from March 2008!!! 2008! I've got our meals planned out for the week, and today we had a roast that cooked all day while we were at work. Tomorrow we're having a Parmesan chicken that we already made tonight after Lilli went to bed, so tomorrow all we have to do is put it in the oven. Hopefully with a little more organization things will move more smoothly in the evening and we can eat down the tons of stuff in our fridge, pantry and freezer. {However, in the event of major national catastrophe we would have food for quite some time!}
