July 4th Weekend, Part 1

We got up bright and early Saturday morning (ok....8 am, but I had pretty much packed everything the night before!) So we had the car loaded while Lilli ate breakfast and left for my parents a little after 9 and got there around 11. Lilli (and Pippin....) slept most of the way. She loves it when he rides in the car because she has a backseat companion.

Not long after we got there Cousin Kacey declared "everywhere Lilli goes I will be there". And I'm pretty sure she meant it! They sat on the rocking glider and Kacey rocked them. Lilli thought that was HIL-AR-IOUS!She had picked out some dress shoes she wanted to wear that morning and I hadn't put her sneakers back on yet. She's becoming pretty vocal about which shoes she wants to wear!
Me with the girls.....
Dad grilling out the burgers and hot dogs for lunch.
Lilli wearing Kacey's shoes and walking around....Kacey had some shiny new "Dorothy" shoes we bought consignment shopping while Lilli was taking her nap. We hit two little shops there in town and I got several cute things for Lilli, including two little plastic chairs for $1.50 each!
Kacey striking a pose....
Pippin running free and enjoying the wide open spaces!
Heading to the pond, and man was it hot!!!
It was too hot to stay out there for long until later in the day. The girls had so much fun playing under the bed (which was no problem for Lilli to crawl in and out!) She thought the game was hilarious. They were playing "mermaids".
When Grandma kicked them out of their fun game they decided to throw things in the foyer instead. They each had a stuffed duck, and they'd throw them up and then roll on the ground. Lilli thought it was the best game EVER!
Throwing their ducks-
And then rolling on the ground-Those girls had a big time together! Lots more pictures to come from the weekend!
