I've got just a couple minutes before my ride to Atlanta gets here, so I figured I should do one last post.
Saturday night we had Lilli's teacher "Miss Shannon" come over to watch her (and Pippin) so we could head out for a date night. The last date night we'd had was the 1st of May, so I guess we were way overdue! I tend to just forget to hire a babysitter, and usually Lilli is pretty easy going wherever we are so it's not a big deal.
And she's certainly becoming a little bit more of a handful when we leave....
They all had a great time while we were gone, Pippin just loves Shannon, too! When she walked in the front door Lilli was finishing up dinner and she just started screaming and squealing so we knew they'd have lots of fun playing.
Here's Pippin and Shannon before she left....
And a nicely conked out Lilli before Shannon left! It's so nice that her teachers are willing (and like her enough) to come and babysit. Lilli just LOVES her teachers and if she passes one in the halls as we're leaving she'll run over and give them hugs and is always excited to see them (which is a nice feeling!) For our date night we went out to eat at The Yellow Porch. It was SO good!! It's a small little restaurant, so it's nice and cozy and their emphasis is on fresh and local - our fave. Brent had a great lamb dish:
And I had an insanely good halibut dish flown in fresh that day! It was NUTS it was so good! We also had cheese fritters for our appetizer and then split a tiramisu for dessert.
Afterwards we just stopped and got coffee and then headed home. It was so nice to have a delicious dinner where we didn't have to chop up anyone's food and could have some uninterrupted conversation.
Alright, my ride should be here VERY soon! Brent will be Mr Mom from now until Saturday night when we get back from Market in Atlanta. I'm sure it will be lots of fun and lots of work for him!! Hopefully everyone will stay well and nothing major will break around here. Last time he had to deal with a flat tire, snow day, actual snow and she caught a cold and was up half the night for several nights.
Gotta run!
