When we got back from doing a little shopping Lilli had just gotten up from her afternoon nap and was having a little snack. She really had QUITE the audience this year with both Chloe and Pippin around.
Chloe and Pippin got along ok, maybe a B-. At nearly 7 Pippin just doesn't want to play quite as much as a puppy and sometimes just wants his space. And sometimes he will go to the far corners of the upstairs and hide to try to get that space....and yet he was usually followed by someone....
After dinner it was a bit cooler so we went down to the pond to do some fishing. This was the first fish caught and Lilli was all about it. She loved shaking the bucket they were in and giving the fish mild heart attacks. She was pretty much in the way of lots of haphazard line tossing, so Brent took her on some walks around the yard.
They played with the other doggie there for the weekend....
And checked on the soybean crops....
We did catch a lot of fish, I think I caught 4. Note I never said they were impressive fish....
Thankfully this year Pippin was not the dog voted most likely to fall in the pond. I think he's learned his lesson on that one. He did roll in a dead frog which is also pretty gross.
One of my prize fish!
At least Pippin thought it looked like good eating size!
Grandma had her hands full.....
Pippin just had to keep his new friend company since she was in "pond time out".
Mean Uncle Brent made Kacey pull him in the wagon since he had pulled the girls around for quite a while....
But Cody came to help!
Lilli has learned to blow bubbles over the past week and it cracks me up. She practically puts the whole thing in her mouth and blows SO hard.
And finally it was bathtime and bedtime for everyone, including the doggies.
