It's been a busy, busy weekend around here but I need to finish up our July 4th pictures so we can move on!
Lilli really didn't sleep great that night, probably a result of being in a strange place, all of us in one room - meaning lots of snoring from the male members of our family and I swear Pippin got up and did laps around the room at least a dozen times that night. At 6 am she was just UP for the day which is really, really rare. She normally doesn't wake up on her own until around 7:30, and (like yesterday) she slept in until 8.
All the extra time and poor sleep made her a bit more short tempered, and completely unwilling to pose for pictures! And there's no way she was going to part with her sippy, either. Here is Grandma and Grandpa with the grandkids, this is the best one we got.And here's the best one of the whole gang:
She didn't want to stay in her class at first, but warmed up when they pulled out some animal puzzles. She bounced back and forth between sitting with Grandma and me, and both Cody and Kacey wanted to sit near her - something we don't always consider an honor in our household, ha! She was pretty good (MUCH better than she was today, for SURE!) and Cody kept her pretty entertained. She even left with him and held his hand out in the lobby. She just loves older boys. When her little friend Taylor came into our Sunday school class this morning afterwards she just started absolutely squealing and screaming and followed him around like a puppy dog. I should probably be worried about her obsession with the older boys!
Cody and Lilli played for a while before lunch while we got everything packed up....
She was so tired she was literally sound asleep before we even stopped at the nearby gas station. Pippin was still pretty awake though!
But not for long!!!
So that's it for the annual family July 4th Reunion!
