Our bird turned out gorgeous and perfect like always! We brine it in salt water + some fruits, herbs and vegetables for 24 hours and then bake it with some other fruits, veg and herbs inside it and it always comes out perfectly and is so easy! We also made mashed potatoes, dressing, green beans and homemade rolls.
After we ate we opened presents. Pippin got Lilli a shirt he saw at BabyGap and really liked!
Then we hit the road in her new little car from Grandma and Grandpa Carden.
She drove it all the way around the block, our usual walking path. It was so nice and pretty with the snow, and it was still falling while we were out.
She did a great job steering and driving it right back into the gate. She spent a lot of time on her tricycle this summer learning to steer. I think it still might scare her a little because she can still be a bit hesitant to ride it, but I think once it warms up for a long time period she'll be more used to driving it.
Of course we had to tell Santa thanks for all the presents!
It can even make it up the hill beside our house!! We weren't sure if it would have enough horsepower or not!
And that's the rest of Christmas for 2010!
