We've already had so much fun at the kiddie pool this summer. Lilli naps from around 12:30-3/3:30 so we usually head over late in the day on the weekend. It's been SO hot here already this summer so it's pretty nice to head over late in the day when the crowd is a little smaller and it's not quite as hot. This past weekend she was completely excited when she realized where we were at and ready to play as soon as we got there!
Her favorite thing to do with water is just move it around with a cup, emptying it into a bowl, splashing us, or just dumping it out of the pool altogether. I'm thinking by the end of the summer the Maryland Farms pool will be totally empty.
She was so convincing with her spoon and "pretend" meal that a boy (maybe 1st grade?) came over and peeked in her bowl to see what she was eating! I guess he thought he might be missing out on something good!
She also loves paddling around in the big pool and will kick and move her arms, I guess she still remembers everything she learned in swim classes last fall. And I know she had fun because she threw a massive fit when it was time for us to go.
She's also becoming a big fan of pudding and has no trouble using her spoon if pudding is involved!
